Q. Do you charge any fees?

A. No.

Q. How can you operate without charging  fees?

A. We are paid an introducers fee by the lender.

Q. Do I have to take out insurance through you?

A. No.

Q. Who are 'Mortgage Express', 'Platform' and 'The Mortgage Business'

A. Mortgage Express is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradford and Bingley, Platform is part of the Brittania Building society and The Mortgage Business is a subsidiary of Halifax-Bank of Scotland

Q. What are the advantages in applying  through yourselves?

A.

• Unlike a bank or building society we are not tied to any one company
• We can source our client's mortgage from the 'whole of market'
• We have access to mortgages that are not directly available to the public.
• Because we are not tied to any lender we can offer objective, unconstrained advice.
• If your initial application is rejected, we may be able to submit the same documentation to another lender.

Q. What are the disadvantages?

A. It is uneconomic for us to visit you personally, all  business will have to be transacted by post, telephone, fax and e-mail.

Q. If I lose money as a result of taking your advice,  what protection do I have?

A. Our company has full professional indemnity insurance.
